Installing the G-SUSPENSION300: Replacing the Rear Suspension on an SR400
Installation steps for the G-SUSPENSION300 rear suspension. Using an SR400 as an example, we explain the process in 8 steps, from loosening the passenger footpegs and removing the stock suspension to fitting this product and re-tightening.

The G-SUSPENSION300 is a rear suspension that fits a wide range of models, including the SR400/500, 250TR, Estrella, Grasstracker, CB400SS, W400/650, GB250 and SRV250.
Using an SR400 installation as an example, this page shows the replacement process. Note that the steps may differ slightly depending on the model.
01 Removing the stock suspension

Put the bike on its center stand.

Loosen the left and right passenger footpegs.

Remove the nuts and washers from the stock suspension.

Remove the stock suspension. Moving the wheel up and down slightly makes it easier to remove.
02 Installing the G-SUSPENSION300

Fit the bottom of the product (G-SUSPENSION300) to the swingarm. If shock collars are included, fit them first and then insert the suspension. Don't push it all the way in; leaving it slightly out makes the top easier to fit.

Lifting the wheel with your right hand, insert the top of the suspension.

Fit the washers and nuts.

Re-tighten everything with tools, and the installation is complete.
Use thread-locking compound as needed during installation. General explanations such as how to use tools are omitted. Due to variation between individual bikes, some minor adjustment or improvisation may be needed. If you're unsure about the replacement, always have it done by someone knowledgeable or a custom shop.
