Side-Mount Meter Kit φ60 with Indicator Lamps SR400/500 ('01-'02)

I'm waiting for delivery of a 2003 SR400 and really want to install your side meter kit.
However, the fitment is listed as '01-'02, so it isn't covered.
If I cut the immobilizer on the CDI side, is there a chance it could be installed?

The reason it doesn't fit is that the number of indicators doesn't match.
SR indicators up to 2002 are turn signal, neutral and high beam, but from 2003 an immobilizer light and engine warning light were added, so the number of indicators on the kit meter is not enough.
As an example, use the oil warning light in place of the immobilizer light, and add a separate engine warning light.
The engine warning light only detects throttle position sensor faults, and even if it does it causes no problem, so removing it should be fine.

It is not welded, so it can be taken apart, but it is basically a non-serviceable product that cannot be repaired.

Meters are precision instruments, and depending on how they are installed and used, they can fail early.
For example, when mounting on a bike or location with heavy vibration, rubber mounting may help prevent failure over time.
