Metal grinding disc for 100mm disc grinders.
Mainly used for removing weld beads, deburring, rust removal, and grinding flat and curved surfaces.


[Feature 1 • The flex of a soft disc]
The backing of the abrasive cloth is very small and flexes a lot, so you can adjust the pressure on the workpiece, which makes it especially effective on curved surfaces.



Note: When pressed against the workpiece, it flexes as shown above.
This spreads the pressure so it conforms easily to the workpiece and works especially well on curved surfaces.
For freeform shapes, this "Soft" type is the only choice.


[Feature 2 • Smooth finishing]
Thanks to the "flex" that defines the Soft type, high spots are removed more easily,
which makes it well suited to smooth finishing

*Another advantage of the "Soft" type is that results change with how you apply pressure


[Feature 3 • Works great with low-speed grinders]
It works well enough on a regular grinder, and it is also an excellent match for low-speed grinders

[Feature 4 • About the zirconia abrasive]
The abrasive grain of the cloth is zirconia
It is hard, suited to heavy cutting, and performs well on stainless steel.

Please note

Much of the abrasive cloth is unsupported, so if you hold it nearly vertical against thin steel sheet (e.g., 1mm), it can catch and bite.
Please be careful with the angle on sharp edges.

Additional info

[About disc grinder speed]

At low speed (low rpm), centrifugal force is smaller, so the disc contacts the workpiece more softly.

As a result, especially with the types whose backing has less stiffening effect,"Soft" and "Air" the abrasive cloth conforms more easily to the workpiece, making it easier to grind along curved shapes.
It also reduces wear and damage from the cloth flying apart, as well as biting and catching

*It is also easier to work evenly when finishing, which helps reduce scratches

On the other hand, for heavy cutting the contact is weaker and the lower speed reduces the work done, so cutting is slower.
For "Flat" and especially "Cut" we recommend a standard high-speed grinder.
