GOODS DESIGN
GOODS original design
A GOODS original design based on the UNIVERSAL mufflers of the past.
We offer a wide lineup, from the classic trumpet type to the racy open end

Highly durable.
GOODS's original sound-absorbing design
Conventional imported universal mufflers, such as reverse cone mufflers, use a thick straight perforated core with wool, so many lose their silencing ability quickly,
but this product, developed in-house, uses a single expansion chamber + glass wool sound-absorbing design.
Because it relies less on the wool, the structure resists deterioration over time.

*The wool can easily be repacked with our Glass Wool (Part No. G4-00093) 、Stainless Wool (Part No. G4-00092) products
Just the right volume.
Single expansion chamber + glass wool structure
Conventional universal mufflers often have a wool-only straight-through design that silences poorly when the throttle is snapped open and tends to be very loud,
whereas our original "MEGAPHONE" uses an expansion chamber + a restricted straight path to deliver strong silencing even when the throttle is snapped open.
We also refined the shape and structure of the end cap to reduce wind noise and the harsh tone of conventional products.
*Without the optional silencing baffle
*Measured on an SR400
1200rpm:87.4db
3500rpm:98.7db
An optional dedicated baffle is also available
For riders who want it even quieter, we also offer an additional silencing baffle dedicated to the MEGAPHONE series.
Easy to install: just remove the end cap and secure it with one bolt.

1200rpm:82.4db
3500rpm:92.0db
Fits the widely compatible φ45mm.
Slide rail mount, handy when making brackets
The inlet diameter fits the widely compatible φ45mm.
The bracket uses a slide rail, making position adjustment easy when making universal or one-off brackets.

Swaps directly with conventional universal mufflers
The bracket is positioned almost the same as on conventional reverse cone mufflers, so if you already have one installed, you can fit this product with the same bracket and inlet diameter.

Please note
*Only the mufflers listed, which we sold in the past, are supported.> Reverse cone muffler (Part No.: 80-84030)
*Compatibility with universal mufflers sold by other companies is unknown.

*Racing use only, not for use on public roadsAbout installing universal mufflers
Installing a universal muffler requires modification, some ingenuity and the necessary parts to fit your bike.

1 • About the inlet diameter
Please check the inlet diameter listed in the product description. If the inlet diameter does not match, a separate joint pipe or spacer is required.
2 • About mounting
The muffler body needs to be mounted to the frame.*Avoid mounting to "moving parts" such as the swingarm
*Model-specific slip-on mufflers come with these joint pipes and brackets as a set.
If you are unsure about installation, please purchase a slip-on muffler or ask a custom shop.
FAQ
Q Can it be made even quieter with the separately sold baffle installed?
A

Exhaust exits the pipe through passage 1, returns inside through passage 2, and then flows to the rear end where the wool and baffle are.
Green circle: Passage 1 Blue line: Partition Red circle: Passage 2
You can make it quieter by blocking holes in passages 1 and 2 to reduce the open area.
The easy way is to wrap metal tape around it a few times, but you could also weld them shut or, if your tools can reach, use bolts and nuts.
*Blocking too much will noticeably reduce power,
so if you block them, we recommend up to about 30% of each passage.
*Passage 1 has 32 holes and passage 2 has 28 holes.
