- Features of the Pipe Work Stabilizer and Front Fender
- Points for jacking up the front end
- Steps for removing the front wheel and fitting the stabilizer
A popular combination for bikes that want a clean front end is the Pipe Work Stabilizer with the Pipe Work Front Fender. Here we walk through the process using a 250TR installation as an example.
01 Features of the Pipe Work Stabilizer

- Acts as a stabilizer to prevent the front fork from twisting when running without a fender
- Can be used with tall-profile tires such as Firestone
- All-black design without the "added-on" look typical of fenders

02 Jacking up and removing the front wheel

- Put the bike in 1st gear and roll it backward until it stops.
-
Before jacking up, loosen anything that's tightly fastened.

-
Set the jack firmly under the frame.

-
Carefully remove the bolts you loosened earlier and take off the front wheel.

The key is to loosen tight bolts before jacking up. It's much safer than applying force while the bike is in the air.
03 Fitting the stabilizer and finishing up
-
Carefully pass the stabilizer up from below the front fork without scratching it, and loosely secure it with the bolts.

-
Refit the wheel as before. Apply grease to the wheel collars and axle at this point.

- Finally, re-tighten everything and you're done.
