- Moving the stock headlight into the case and checking that it lights
The Side Mount Headlight KIT mounts the RH975/Nightster's headlight on the side of the fork. The Upper Fork Cover KIT finishes the fork area below the top triple clamp with covers and also serves as the mounting base for the headlight kit.
This page first covers installing the Upper Fork Cover KIT, then explains the steps for installing the Side Mount Headlight KIT. If you're fitting only the fork cover kit, you're done after the first half.
01 Before you start
Installation requires removing and refitting the top triple clamp. Jack up the bike and secure it.

02 Fitting the upper fork covers
-
Remove the cowl and headlight and loosen each bolt on the top triple clamp.

-
Remove the top triple clamp. Be careful not to scratch the tank or other parts.

-
Set the O-rings and fit the fork covers.

On the version with the headlight bracket, pay attention to the orientation of the fork cover. Fit it so the bend of the bracket faces inward. Secure the triangular light bracket with a bolt from the outside.

-
Set an O-ring on top of the fork cover as well.

-
Set the top triple clamp in place and secure each bolt.

That completes the installation of the Upper Fork Cover KIT (Part No. GW-6052).
