The FT Down Muffler is a muffler for the TW200/225 from the DIRT-GCC series.
This page walks you through attaching the included bracket, mounting the muffler on the bike, and securing it to the passenger footpeg. The basic approach is to snug all bolts loosely first and tighten them down at the end.
01 Before you start
Snug all bolts loosely as you go, and tighten them down at the end.
The bike used for the instruction photos was a track bike, so the product in the photos has some dirt on it.
02 Attaching the bracket to the muffler
-
Attach the included bracket to the muffler.

-
Once the washer and spring washer are on, very little of the bolt tip sticks out, so hold the bolt from the inside as shown in the photo while you fit the nut.

03 Mounting the header pipe and muffler on the bike
-
Install the header pipe and loosely secure it with the bolts.

-
Loosely secure the slip joint with the muffler band.

04 Installing the footpeg and retightening everything
-
Install the passenger footpeg.

-
Secure the muffler bracket to the nut at the bottom of the passenger footpeg.

-
Place the included M8 washer behind the upper hole of the passenger footpeg and the muffler bracket behind the lower hole, then secure them with the included M8-20 button cap bolts.

-
Tighten all bolts and nuts. Once every bolt is tightened, you're done.
