A major reduction in volume!
Idle volume 91db achieved. Much lower than the initial 98db (our measurement), letting you bring it down to a comfortable volume.More power at low and mid speeds!
Peak power is almost the same as the stock muffler, but low and mid-range power is increased by how we tuned it.Makes tuning easy!
When measuring the air-fuel ratio, the hole for passing the exhaust gas probe through to the exhaust pipe can be opened and closed with a bolt (M8), making tuning easy.No glass wool or stainless wool needed!

About unit-to-unit variation on the muffler side
On some stock mufflers, the inner diameter is narrowed by the weld bead on the inside of the body, and some are even deformed to fit from the factory.Although we control the dimensions of this product, installation may be difficult for the reasons above.
In that case, install it by deforming it or grinding it down slightly.

Thank you very much for your very quick and courteous service; the item arrived the next day. Thank you.I installed it myself today right away. I have Sideshots on my 883N Iron, and without removing the muffler from the bike, I just took off the heat guard, removed the stock baffle and easily installed your product. The dimensions for the muffler were perfect and it went in with no trouble.
I am also very grateful for the results, which I am very satisfied with in both volume and tone. I just couldn't accept that inner baffles using glass wool lose performance over time, and I was thrilled to come across your baffle while searching online. Thank you.

Q Is it even quieter compared to the Quiet Baffle?

The VANCE&HINES Quiet Baffle reduces sound by 2-3db, while this product reduces it by 7db (at idle), so the difference in volume is clearly noticeable.
Q Is the pipe section a straight-through pipe?
A
The inside of the pipe is not straight-through. There is a baffle plate in the middle; after hitting the plate, the exhaust flows from inside the pipe to the outside and then back inside again before exiting.
The volume can also be adjusted slightly by attaching or removing the included bolt on the baffle plate.

Q Can it be installed on Shortshots, etc., on bikes other than the Sportster?

It can be installed if the silencer type is the same, but it is designed strictly for the Sportster, so in some cases power may drop significantly.
Q How is the included M8 bolt used?
A
This bolt is installed in the center, inside the inner silencer.

Q I have already tuned the bike with other products installed. Will I need to tune again?
A
This product is built to reduce volume considerably, so the amount of fuel the engine needs and the rpm range differ greatly compared to not having this silencer installed.
The bike will run if you just install the silencer, but there is a high chance the plugs will foul and it will start running poorly, so we think retuning is basically essential.

It exceeds the volume limit, and for '00- models it cannot pass inspection even with reduced volume due to emissions testing issues.
