FAQ

Q The exhaust clamp won't fully tighten, and I'm worried about exhaust leaks

The likely cause is that the stock muffler is inserted in a way that crushes the exhaust gasket, so the gasket itself has become thinner than a new one.
If you are concerned about exhaust leaks, apply liquid gasket before use

Q Even after tightening the clamp band, the joint doesn't seal tight and rotates, and even after tightening the mounting bolt on the passenger footpeg side, it rattles. Is this normal?
I didn't notice any exhaust leaks on a test ride, but I'm still uneasy.
I have replaced slip-on mufflers several times before.

Even when the band at the inlet is fully tightened, it won't be locked rigidly in place.
If there is "no exhaust leak," we believe the band itself is properly tightened.

The rear mount of the muffler is rubber-mounted, so
if you grab the muffler and shake it, the muffler body will move to some extent.
*Allowing some movement prevents the bracket from breaking due to vibration, etc.

We don't know how much it "rattles," and
if it moves more than described above, that could be a problem, so please contact us
