The TAPERED CONE slip-on muffler comes in two versions: one for the GB350 (G4-00177) and one for the GB350S (G4-00178).
This article walks you through removing the stock muffler, sliding the new one onto the exhaust pipe, and securing it. The job itself is simple, but be sure to finish with a final retightening.
01 Remove the stock muffler
Loosen the clamp and mounting bolt, and remove the stock muffler.

02 Install the Tapered Cone muffler
-
Slide the muffler onto the exhaust pipe.

-
Secure the muffler with the mounting bolt.

-
Tighten the clamp band bolt.

-
Retighten everything, wipe off any fingerprints, and you're done.

In general, liquid gasket and the like are not needed.
03 If you're concerned about exhaust leaks
The stock muffler is installed by compressing the exhaust gasket, so the gasket may be thinner than a new one. This is the likely cause of any exhaust leak.
If you're concerned about exhaust leaks, apply liquid gasket before installation.

Explanations of tools and general wiring work are omitted. Minor adjustments or workarounds may be needed due to individual differences between bikes.
